Baby Name Vote

PJ and usually have major issues naming our children. I would like to take care of this name thing early on, so I am allowing all of you to take part in the vote. We may not listen to you, but it would be fun to hear what you think. I will give names and meanings.

Girl

Natalie Jewel Herron  (Natalie - To be born, or Christ's birthday)

Danae Elyse Herron  (Danae - Showered with gold)

Boy

Garrett Jacob Herron  (Garrett - Strenght of the spear)  PJ's favorite

Gareth Jacob Herron  (Gareth - Gentle) I personally like this better than Garrett. More unique.

Colton (Cole) Jacob Herron  (Colton - swarthy person. Swarthy means a person with a dark complexion, in case you
were wondering)

I heard today my father and mother-in-law read this, so I better hear from you both too, Roy and Mary!  No more stalking my website without making comments!!  :-)

Added:

I wanted to add a couple things (for those who read this before I said this)  We can swap the girls middle names. Example:  Natalie Elyse instead of Natalie Jewel etc.

Also, for my brothers and husbands sake...

Virgil Jacob Herron  (Virgil being Wyatt Earps brothers name)

Doc Holliday Herron   :-)

I think my brothers and husband would love for us to have a little Doc and Wyatt or Virgil and Wyatt running around.   :-)

I don't usually comment, but I had to on this one, even though I am sure my vote doesn't count much....I of course pick Danae Elyse-you even spelled it correctly. If it is a boy I would have to choose Gareth, I like the way it sounds.

Gareth Jacob Herron (nickname Doc)

Natalie Jewel Herron

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Okay I agree with Elyse! I like Danae Elyse and Colton Jacob. :)

I would like my family to note how many people like Colton. I wanted to name Wyatt that, but PJ (and the rest of the fam) hates it!

Interesting....

Keep it coming!

Hm...I have to say I like Natalie Jewel for a girl. I think the meaning is very interesting.

PJ, sorry, but I like Gareth Jacob. I like Colton, but really like Gareth...

Guess what. I still hate the name Colton. No poll will change my mind or make it so.

Erin said...

Hey PJ...didn't you get to name Anniston??? :)

Erin said...

How about Stone, Blaze or River for boys:) I have a friend in Michigan whos kids have those names....River hasn't actually been born yet. If he turns out to be a girl...she will be Jewel :) Different strokes for different folks!

I like Natalie Elyse for a girl and Gareth Jacob for a boy
Whatever you decide I think they are beautiful names. Can't wait to hear :)

Natalie Jewel and Gareth Jacob. Doc for short.

Girl - Natalie Danae
Boy - Gareth Colton

I know, I know, I ignored the chosen middle names, but I like the combined meanings of the two names:

Girl = Christ's birthday showered with gold
Boy = Gentle and swarthy

Sounds like noble names with true meaning.

You should name her Natalie Jewel and call her NJ.

wow. the comments are just flowing in...

I like Natalie Elyse for a girl. And Garreth Jacob for a boy. I have always liked the name Garreth. If I thought we had any hope of having more boys, I think I would use it for one of them... ah, but it seems we are in a girl rut...

Just to throw a random name out there: what about Avery Elyse for a girl?

Jaime said...

Megs, you used two r's for Gareth (Garreth). Does anyone know if there is a "correct" spelling?

I like Avery. I forgot about that one from when we named Anniston. I doubt PJ would like it. :-)

Unknown said...

I thought it was always spelled with two R's. Garreth looks better than Gareth.

Janelle--

If looks mattered we wouldn't be having this conversation at all.

I don't quite know what I think about Avery. Certainly has potential. But, it's a moot point, we are having a boy.

PJ,

Pride goes before a fall...

Ok I dreamed you were having twin boys. So just hang on to both the boys names. :-)

Jaime said...

If I have twins, I am giving one to Jenn.

:-)

OMG! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! I'll take him! Can you watch him while I work though? ;o)

Taraleigh said...

our vote:

Gareth Jacob
Natalie Elyse

Jenn as long as you are "at peace" with Nyquil I am sure Jamie wouldn't mind watching him!

Anonymous said...

i've always thought it had two r's.
personally i like that better, cause one r reminds me of gary for some reason...

lawrence said...

i agree w/ megan definitely two r's...and it doesn't matter what you name him we're calling him Doc...and I like Colton...and Medana I'll just pretend I never read the thing about Jacob...just too mean-spirited to comprehend.

Jennifer Lightfoot said...

'Kay, I'm a believer...I like Doc Holliday Herron. Yep. You should use that one...

Jaime said...

Jenn,

What in the world. You are a believer? Did you just watch Tombstone or something?

Jennifer Lightfoot said...

I did! I don't remember it being so funny...maybe I watched it in a really bad mood or something...Anyway, it's great! Kayla, Wyatt, Aniston and Doc. It kinda flows, doncha think?

;o)

I am still bitter everybody hates the spelling of Issac's name.

Therefore, I cast my vote for every name you don't like and will go around telling people the wrong way to spell whatever you decide.

Jennifer Lightfoot said...

Get a dictionary, Jesse! Or, better yet - a Bible!

Oh yeah! That was a good one, Jenn! Thanks, self - I thought so too!
